4-H'ers practicing for Dog Quiz Bowl

4-H Dog Quiz Bowl practice kicked off on June 30th at the 4-H Paws N Pals Club. Dog Quiz Bowl is a competitive team sport that is played like TV’s Jeopardy, only all the questions relate to the 4-H Dog Project. Kids are quizzed on AKC dog breeds, dog health and wellness issues, dog diseases and parasites, dog care, competitive dog performance sports, AKC dog show rules, dog anatomy, and more. The 4-H Paws N Pals club is using a proprietary piece of custom software that allows members to study from home by logging into an online study tool that lets them play games, do crossword puzzles, take quizzes..all the time learning more dog facts for Quiz Bowl. Practices are being held every other Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30 at the Washington Street Library. The Allegany County Extension Office has provided the club with a buzzer system to use during their practices so team members will get the feel of the equipment used at the real competition.
